Printing & Materials
Every Silvergrain Press book is printed on HP Indigo digital press for continuous-tone photographic output.
All papers are acid-free and archival-rated, and every book is bound using PUR adhesive for higher durability, with the Layflat Edition using a special 180º flat spread construction.
Shipping & Handling
Most orders are produced and dispatched within 2 to 5 business days with tracked delivery.
Every order is covered by our Print Quality Promise. If your print arrives damaged, has a print quality issue, or isn't right for any reason, contact us within 14 days of delivery at info@silvergrainpress.com with your order number and a brief description. We'll arrange a free reprint and replacement. You don't need to return the item.
All products are shipped in protective recyclable packaging and arrive ready for your shelf or ready to hang.
File Requirements
JPG, PNG, and HEIC files are accepted. We recommend Adobe RGB (1998) when exporting edited photographs for print.
We do not auto-correct submitted files, so final exposure and colour should be prepared for print before upload.
Printed photos usually appear darker than when viewed on a backlit screen. Reduce monitor brightness to 50% to make final exposure and brightness adjustments before exporting for print. See our guide in the blog to learn more.

200gsm gloss-coated paper
Every page is printed on a gloss-coated Mohawk proPhoto paper — a specialist photographic paper from the globally-renowned Mohawk mill. The gloss surface retains depth and colour saturation to give your standout images the tonal reproduction and vibrancy they deserve. Well-suited for landscape, travel, and architectural work where both colour fidelity and tonal range are critical. You will notice the quality in the first spread.
Binding & Craft
Seamless layflat spreads
The Layflat Edition is built differently to every other book we make. Individual sheets are mounted back-to-back onto a fabric spine, creating a series of hinged panels rather than a conventional signature-and-spine structure. The result: both pages of every spread lie in a single plane with no gutter. Images that cross the centre are not pulled into the binding — the full composition is visible, exactly as you made it.
